Landmarks45 encourages you to share you with us your preservation stories, your personal photos, and your documents to help us create a positive and compelling narrative of the preservation movement.
Use the comment form below to share your story. You can also upload an image or document (.jpg, .gif, .png, or .pdf format) from your computer. Please send files with other extensions to share@landmarks45.org and we’ll post them on the blog.
As for what your story or document contains, that’s up to you! Examples include eyewitness accounts; personal histories; photographs of buildings, demonstrations, and events; scans or photographs of original documents… basically, anything related to the history of New York’s historic preservation movement over the past forty-five years!
Please share only material that you own and that you have permission to distribute. All contributions will appear within twenty-four hours. Click here for our disclaimer.
We also know that some of this technology may be new to you or to a preservationist in your life, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get involved in the conversation. The New York Preservation Archive Project can help you respectfully organize, document, and digitize your files. Contact info@landmarks45.org or call 212-988-8379 for more information.
